Good gawd! I'm loving this location--my kids can get their dogs and fries, and I can get pasta. I've had the chicken alfredo and the plain alfredo, which were both good. The sauce is thick, not too garlicky, and delicious. I've had the Fettucine Carbonara, which is super garlicky but good. Lastly, I've had the Pesto Chicken and Mushroom, which was fantastic! The prices are good, for the super huge portions you get--there's definitely enough to eat the next day or later on for dinner. And I can't get enough of the bread they serve with it. Yum. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm out this way.

Why, why, why has no one rated Barnelli's/Portillo's I absolutely LOVE this place. I flew into Chicago last night and this is the first place I stopped after picking up my rental car. Sick, isn't it? I had a HUGE hankering for one of their fabulous pasta dishes and Italian bread. I wound up having the Country Rigatoni, it's a large portion and has lots of sauce. Just wish I hadn't been driving so I could have enjoyed a glass of wine with it. Oh well, maybe next time. While Portillo's is best known for their fabulous Hot Dogs and outstanding Roast Beef Sandwiches the pasta dishes at Barnelli's are excellent too! I can only hope for the day they open an Portillo's in Arizona. I don't care where it is...I'm there!

I love their baked mostacciolli! I am a vegetarian so Portillo's doesn't have much, but Barnelli's has so many options. Plus I don't feel disgusting after eating there.

It's rather difficult to go into this place and Not get cheese fries from Portillo's. But I did! I never thought of getting Pizza here, they have great salads and pasta dishes but last night we got a pizza. It was AWESOME! We got a thin crust pizza with tomatos and pepperoni. It had a good layering of cheese and pizza sauce, not too much, not too little. It did take a while, so while others in our group ordered from Portillo's, they had their food way in advance of us pizza eaters. Not my favorite pizza place, but this is a definite thumbs up on the pizza! Nice surprise!

I ordered a large chopped salad for a party I was having. They had it ready in about five minutes and supplied plenty of dressing. My guests loved it, and I still have enough to eat at dinner tonight. I've tried several of their salads, but the chopped salad is my absolute favorite.

I had a half rack of ribs, which were amazing, think I even ate the marrow out the bones if thats possible, my baked potato was off the chain and if it was any relation to mr potato head I send my condolences to the family, I also devoured the salad with the house and ranch dressing......I ate the bread like I was a bulimic cheerleader prior to the throat finger bang.....then I washed it all down with the lemonade beverage......ahhhhhh im full just typing this

Just had the chicken caprice sandwich ,had a bland taste to it and left me hungry! I was so disappointed due to the other side has such amazing burgers,beefs,chili and ect... I will prob never order that again. Just left a bad taste in my mouth and an empty stomach :(

I think my review for Portillo's at this location speaks volumes (amazing burgers and cheese fries), but in my former fat days for my birthday dinner, I'd get a full slab of ribs, mostaccioli, bread, and of course a salad. LOVE THIS PLACE...and I am sure your menopausal aunt would enjoy you picking her up a chopped salad (it is a salad, so I can eat it every single day!).

I'm going to keep this one short because if you are from Chicago you know that Portillo's of any kind is the greatest food on Earth. If you're not from Chicago, now you know. Barnelli's Pasta Bowl has THE BEST marinara sauce and garlic bread and THE BEST rib sauce (and ribs) that has ever crossed these lips. SERIOUSLY. This location is also the bomb because it has Portillo's on one side and Barnelli's on the other (complete with the Barney's Salad Bowl and Ribs) so you can get Chicago classics (beefs, burgers, hot dogs, etc.), ribs, AND Italian food and sandwiches. There is even dessert and crappy beer (if you're into that kind of thing). Overall, Portillo's is my jam.
